Welcome to the NHMW Data Repository

The NHMW Data Repository is an institutional repositorium of the Natural History Museum Vienna established for sharing, storage and publication of research data generated at the NHMW, by NHMW researchers and their collaboration partners or research data on NHMW objects generated by external researchers.

The NHMW Data Repository fulfils funders' requirements for open access to research data and the FAIR principles by making research output findable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable. This service has been developed by an interdisciplinary working group within the frame of the FFG infrastructure grant "MicroMus: Unlocking the Microcosm - Micro-CT Analyses in Museum Collections", in the framework of which a 3D lab was established at the NHMW.

The NHMW Data Repository is run by the publishing house of the NHMW in collaboration with the NHMW Central Research Laboratories and the NHMW IT department.
